#Not TooYoungToRun: Ooni Urges Youths To Embrace Leadership Roles

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 has called on Nigerian youths to rise and take up leadership position as they are the owners of the country.
Ooni Ogunwusi said this following the signing into law of the ‘Not Too Young To Run Bill into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The traditional ruler said based on the huge population of Nigerian youths, they deserve inclusion in governance and politics.
“Youths of this country, they own this country. They are the owners of this country. Look at the demography of Nigeria, the youths have the largest population. Its left to Nigeria youths to rise up and take that leadership position.”
He also called on the youths to support existing leaders and believe in their leadership abilities.
“The youths of this country believe there is no way they can attain a certain height. There is no height that you cannot attain, you just need to give an effort, just give it a shot.”
Presidential aspirant, Fela Durotoye who was also at the Ooni’s palace in Ile Ife, said it is inevitable for any nation to prosper without its youths taking key decisions and making significant contributions in its government.
