What is change

CHANGE! CHANGE!! CHANGE!!!

I hear people [both old and young] talk about CHANGE. Now, what is "CHANGE"? Change is an event that occurs when something passes from one state or phase to another or make a different, cause a transformation.

For you to have an effective change, it must first of all comes from your inner being accompanied with DETERMINATION.

I was talking to some youth about the danger of cultism and antisocial norms, one of them said what do you expect from someone who graduated from the higher institution and hasn't been gainfully employed over a period of years? No money to start up a business, meet social demands which include housing and feeding.

He went further to say "the state needs a change".

I strongly agreed with him that the State needs a change, but the foundation of the CHANGE must begin from the YOUTH.

The change we are proposing is an all compounding change, both physical, cognitive, psychomotor and spiritual change. You must first live a moral life worth emulating, then the physical change comes along. Take for example; a smoker who smokes all kind of smokable and decides to stop smoking, he/she must have an all round change based on will power. The all round change deals with everything about that person, change of the way he/she talks, change of all bad friends he/she keeps, change of all bad environment that tends to influence the individual etc. The person must first of all be determined to have a "self change", which only the individual must effect. No One can do it for for one another.

A graduate must decide the kind of friends he/she keeps, type of places he/she visits. As a graduate, your thinking must be reasonable, rational and logical and, far better than those who has not pass through the educational system.

As graduate, you are suppose to have friends who are higher than you in other to achieve something from them, not a friend who is not determine to improve his immediate society with knowledge gained over time. As a matter of fact, chose your friend don't let it be the other way round. Am not saying you shouldn't talk to anyone and everyone, but you decide your life pattern yourself.

A man once said "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination".

I use this medium to call on the youths of Delta state [both graduate and undergraduate, literate and illiterate] to come together and make a change. Let all support the NOT TOO YOUNG TO LEAD project under Dr Ifeanyi Okowa administration to make the change happen.
